The Goldstein Museum of Design is another grandly named “museum” which is in actuality a small gallery. Located on the 2nd floor of McNeal hall on the UofM – St. Paul campus, the gallery showcases fashion throughout history. While the collection boasts 34,000 items, the actual number on display are a few dozen. However, the pieces that are publicly available are of exceptional quality – from top couture names to examples of the most common, such as the ghastly Earth Shoe. In addition to samples of clothing are ads, posters and other ephemera of the featured era. http://goldstein.design.umn.edu/
