This quiet and rather unknown park is an hour and a half drive from Madison. It’s primary focus is the large, shallow Castle Rock Lake which empties into the Wisconsin River. Canoe, kayak, boat, and fish on this placid lake. Better yet, camp at one of the numerous beautiful hike-out campsites, many with their own private beaches. Wander the trails near the water, or in the acres of restored oak barrens.
