The best time to visit Wyalusing State Park is actually when the weather is pretty miserable – Jan. through early Spring. While the view is quite dramatic, with it’s steep cliffs overlooking the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers, the main draw are the eagles. With a little patience (and warm clothing) you can view the majestic birds soaring over the water, bringing food back to their nests. One of the oldest parks in the state, there are plenty of trails both on the bluffs and down by the water. Plus, lots of large, old shelters for picnics in nicer weather.
