The new location of the grandly names Wisconsin Science Museum is not quite housed in a cupboard under the stairs, but it’s close. It is located in a building called The Atrium, in a strip mall on Park Street. Head in and down the central stairs. The doors are next to the base of the stairs.
This collection of Wisconsin Science-related paraphernalia include many familiar vintage pieces from the previous location in the old downtown MATC building. The collection has expanded to include many scientific discoveries from UW-Wisconsin grads – from milk processing to TomoGraphy machines. The second room in the back includes biographies of many famous Wisconsin scientists. There’s also plenty of hands-on displays – perfect for a rainy afternoon with the kids. Science!
