From the main entrance off Hudson Strett in Mazomanie, Walking Iron Park looks like a small town park with a few baseball diamonds, pool and playground. However, if you follow Hudson St. west about two miles to Beckman, then north (right) you will come to the north entrance of the park. Like a glacier, the majority of the park is tucked away back here, with nearly 300 acres of hiking and horse trails through prairie and wooded areas. The northernmost trail along Marsh creek is especially beautiful, with views of the meandering creek.
