The Spring Green Nature Preserve – also known as the Wisconsin Desert – is an unique microclimate. This tiny patch of land feels like a slice out of the southwest, complete with sandy soil, stunted plants and many cacti! Through the perfect combination of location and weather, this tiny desert survives with some protection from the Nature Conservancy. There are no signs on the highways, but look for the Nature Conservancy logo on the parking lot sign.
