You’ll never guess what you’ll find at the Natural Bridge State Park! Oh, you did. Well, no false advertising here. The main feature of Natural Bridge is, of course, the large natural stone bridge. It is suitably impressive, complete with trees growing on top and a rock ledge where early people likely lived. However, there is actually a great deal more to the park than the bridge area. With over 500 acres, trails wind around a meadow area, cross the main road and continue up and over a ridge, then back again. In recent years erosion has caused park officials to close off one of the main trails up the bridge ridge, but access is now actually far easier and less treacherous. The overlook can still be reached, but it is no longer a loop trail.
