Despite miles of open shoreline, finding a decent beach near the Porkies (Porcupine Mountains) can be a trick. Some beaches are hard to reach, many are private and still others are extremely rocky. Little Girls Point Beach does have rocky sections, but there are also nice large sandy areas. There is ample parking, a restroom and campgrounds surrounding the beach. An excellent public park to swim, watch the sunset or picnic or have a fire.
