It’s often hard to find an excuse to wander around in some of the massive, elegant buildings in downtown Chicago. But the Harold Washington Library is open to one and all, and it is fabulous. Wander through floors of books, periodicals, graphic novels, and more. There is a maker lab, plus board games and puzzles! The top atrium is a gorgeous, peaceful place to relax and read. Be sure to swing by the special collections to see a small display of their holdings.
