Some people read when they are laid up with an injury. Others start a novel, watch tv or call their friends to moan. Not Nicholas Chauvin. Laid up from farming with an ankle injury, he started decorating his land with hand-made sculptures. In his 70s, he switched to painting, producing dozens. His home, sculptures and paintings are all protected by the Kohler Foundation.
