The new east side Global Market & Food Hall, in the former Toy ‘R’ Us location, had the misfortune to open right at the start of the pandemic. However, this diverse and tasty business has persevered. While the products skew heavily to Asian, especially in the large grocery store, there is definitley something for everyone. The building is divided into the market, with fresh produce, aisles of imported spices and products, freezers full of dumplings and other pre-made foods, and a large fresh seafood market. The food hall contains around a dozen eateries – from dumplings to tex-mex.The dining area is bright and well lit, with plenty of seating on even the busiest day. The next time you want to try something new, (or are meeting a picky eater for a meal), give the Global Market & Food Hall a visit.
