Having visited both Crystal Lake Cave and Niagra Cave in one day, I can’t help but compare the two. Crystal River is a magnificent cave, but is still the poor relative to Niagra. The guides are young, inexperienced, and know very little about geology. The cave shows clear signs of human damage and neglect. Additionally, there are hokey things like signs with silly names for formations. It is still worth visiting, and very beautiful as a natural formation. But it is a let-down in comparison to Niagra Cave.
