Ferry Bluff is a must-see Wisconsin location that takes a bit more effort than others to visit. The Wisconsin River, dotted with sandbars, spreads out below you for miles, with rolling hills beyond. There are few views this spectacular in the state; it is on par with Wildcat Mountain.
Perhaps not the most scintillating of hikes, but still shady and pleasant with glimpses of the creek.
Lake Redstone and its waterfall are a delightful find. A short drive from the Dells, it has a large sandy beach, lots of shady spots to picnic, great boating, and a decent sized waterfall. All in all, a perfect spot to spend a sunny day.
Follow the trail back down south for a ferny walk, paralleled by a small gorge covered in moss-covered fallen trees. A short, pleasant and very private little hike.

Trails wend through woods, near streams, and over open fields. This is another lesser known wildlife area and very peaceful.
There is one trail that follows a shallow streamlet. The other two trails climb up steep hills to offer gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside.
Donald County Park county park offers acres of hiking trails, equestrian trails, fishing and a fantastic rock outcrop.
